Andalucia
Andalucia (or Andalusia) is an autonomous community of Spain. Andalucia has the greatest number of inhabitants and is the second largest in terms of its land area.
Andalucia is bounded on the north by the autonomous communities of Extremadura and Castilla-La Ma
ncha; on the east by the autonomous community of Murcia and the Mediterranean Sea; on the west by Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean; on the south by the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, which separates Spain from Morocco, and the Atlantic Ocean. The British colony of Gibraltar shares a three-quarter-mile land border with the Andalusian province of Cádiz at the eastern end of the Strait of Gibraltar.
More hours of sun per year than anywhere in Europe, many beaches, beautiful natural ports and welcoming inhabitants have made it the most attractive region in Spain.
For every visitor the region is extremely varied, from surfing on golden beaches on the Atlantic coast to skiing in the world class mountain ranges of the Sierra Nevada (close to the famous Alhamba palace) - there is nowhere else like it in Europe.
